Dr. Brian Mulhall
Founder of Active Spine & Sport Therapy and the architect of diagnostic & therapeutic philosophy of the practice that each doctor uses to resolve conditions quickly and get patients back to what they love.
The Architect: The fewest visits to get you better — that’s always been the goal.
The Team He Built
Every doctor at Active Spine & Sport Therapy was personally selected by Dr. Mulhall, and each one uses the same diagnostic approach and treatment philosophies he assembled over the past two decades. Booking with Dr. Hapka, Dr. Hill, or Dr. Watson means the same standard of care, the same approaches, and the same goal: resolving your condition in as few visits as possible.
The main difference is timing. Because Dr. Mulhall's schedule books out well in advance, these are the doctors who can usually see you the same week or day. If you're in pain now, they're your fastest path to relief, and it's exactly where Dr. Mulhall would point you.
Who I Help / What I Treat
After two decades and tens of thousands of patients, here’s where Dr. Mulhall focuses:
Sports injuries & musculoskeletal pain
Complex, stubborn conditions
Patients stay active — not rest-and-avoid
Chronic post-surgical "leftover" pain
Care with the fewest visits possible
Teaching you to manage your own condition
About Dr. Mulhall
When Dr. Mulhall opened Active Spine & Sport Therapy, he set out to build something unusual: a clinic centered on rapidly resolving sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain. Just as importantly, it would teach patients to understand and manage their own conditions so they need less care over time. The diagnostic problem-solving strategies and treatment protocols he assembled are the same ones every doctor at the practice uses today.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Studies from Eastern Illinois University, followed by a degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in 2001. In the two decades since, he has built an ever-growing list of certifications and advanced techniques, and has designed and taught continuing-education seminars for massage therapists along with injury-prevention and biomechanics talks for athletic clubs, businesses, and endurance-training groups across Fort Worth.
Dr. Mulhall spends his time studying new therapies and research, weight training, and at home with his wife and their two boys.
In His Words
“We think of it like golf: the fewer visits it takes to resolve a patient’s condition, the better our score. Too often providers just recommend rest and avoiding what aggravates it, rather than thinking through the condition and treating it specifically — so patients can keep doing what they love and stay active.”
What Patients Say
“What a great experience with Dr. Watson and Dr. Mulhall. The docs, the staff, and the entire team make our family so comfortable and have helped us through several different issues through the years.”
“The entire team of docs and staff are wonderful! Dr. Mulhall is amazing and always finds a way to get me fixed up and back on the training path of whatever crazy new sport I’m doing at the time. I’ve finally decided to just make a monthly appointment so I can go hang out with Dr. Mulhall for 45 minutes, because he’s that cool. I could not recommend a place more highly!”
